Some of you have probably noticed by now that we haven’t really been using our Twitter and Facebook as we usually like to do. This is because Skies Alive is no longer a band. After close to 5 years of touring, playing locally, and sending out strange Christmas cards, we have decided to throw in the towel. There is no crazy story to the break up that would have probably made this message a little more interesting, its just time for all of us to try something else. We are still and always will be very proud of the music we made together. We are all still very close and still consider ourselves members of Skies Alive. We are still going to post all the music we made on our Facebook page and send out merchandise orders if people want shirts, cds, etc. Please help us out and buy a shirt. If you don’t our kids are going to be stuck with huge bins full of the same shirt someday and we don’t want to do that to them. We are all still very good friends, did I already say this? Anyway, were all still very good friends and their are no hard feelings. but, for the record, Andrew is an asshole, Matt is retarded, Brock is sort of ok, and I am awesome. Thank you all so much for supporting us over the years, I cant even begin to explain how much it means to us. We are all still going to be playing loud as fuck in various other projects, so please continue to support us individually. Skies Alive Til I Die.

We still have the contest going that we started a while back. There is only 1 week left!! All you have to do is click on the link above and guess the fact about either Andrew, Brock, Matt, or Nick using the picture clue of the day. There is a new clue about a different member each weekday so make sure to guess everyday! The most accurate/creative answers gets points and whoever has the most points that week get any 2 CD’s. Here is a video we did with our friend Spencer from Tribe and Big Cats! It was shot on July 5th at Honey in Minneapolis, thank you to all the people that attended the show! This song is called At Least Im Not The Enemy and it is off our new 6 song EP Til I Die.

We are playing a sick venue in minneapolis called Honey on July 5th. We will be playing with Dan Mariska, hes filling in and playing is own stuff. Yes you can drink at this place, it actually has a pretty nice bar. If you are 21+ there is no reason not to come and dance around while we melt your ears off. We hope to see all you next week, make sure to rsvp to the event!
We are going to be starting a new contest on Monday june 27th! The object of this contest is to get to know the band and its members a little more. We have put together a list of random facts and your goal is to guess what that fact is bases on the picture clue we post Monday-Friday. The first two people to guess the random fact will get 2 points, if nobody guesses it we will base it off who had the closest/most creative guess. On July 22nd the person with the most points wins a grand prize. We will be doing mini prizes on Fridays for people who guess the band clue.
Grand Prize: Shirt of your choice, All 3 of our EP’s including our new release Til I Die, 2 different kinds of stickers and a lot of them, a skies alive bottle opener, and we will sign anything you want us to.

On May 28th we are playing Journeys Backyard BBQ! Its going to be a free all ages show with The Plain White T’s, My Lady Four, All The Right Moves, and Hyland!
This event is taking place in the parking lot of the Maple Wood Mall. MAKE SURE TO GET THERE BEFORE 1PM!! The show will be starting very early so dont miss out. We hope to see all you guys there. Keep spreading the word about Skies Alive, we will see you next weekend!
